My friend Joanette Smasal of San Antonio had a stroke two weeks ago tomorrow. She is in a Rehabilation hospital at the medical center area. The stroke affected her right side and she has lost sight in the right eye. She covers her left eye with her hand or wears a patch over it. It doesn’t focus to well but can see a little out of it. She has lost the use of that leg and knee. The staff hasn’t tried to get her to stand because of this. She has problems coordinating her thoughts but her speech has improved greatly. She gets discouraged and tires because she is trying so hard to get better. Please pray for her healing and that their insurance will continue to let her stay there for awhile. Bless you all

Ken Marquis
January 26th, 2009Ken has been enduring back pain for a very long time. Pray for Ken because this Wednesday he will have a medical procedure performed to help relieve his pain. Pray for wisdom for the doctors and that Ken will have a quick recovery.
Update: 1/28/09
Ken reports that he is experiencing tingling and numbness in his lower body. However he says “NO PAIN!” Next Wednesday he will have another procedure and hopes this will alleviate his medical issue.

Ken sends praises to the Lord for his healing. He says he is feeling better every day. Wishes to thank everyone for their prayers.

January 19th, 2009Clyde’s father had emergency surgery today to remove a blood clot in his leg. He has come through surgery and requests prayer for healing.
